Memorial Day campout…

Here are a handful of pictures of a little camping trip we took to Givins Hot Springs just 45 minutes from Boise on the Friday before memorial day.  There’s a short video too.  The kids love camping and George did great.

Some highlights from the trip that I didn’t get pictures of include the trees that Clara climbed, the kittens we found, the giant naturally hot pool and a ride in a golf cart.  We did the usual adventure stuff and took the walkie talkies for extra fun.

The next day we even took time to find a little boat launch into the river and let the girls wade in and toss rocks to scare all the fish away from the fisher-lady that was sitting on the shore.  She didn’t seem to mind too much.

Happy Birthday Grandma Watrous

Here’s an old video that some of you may have forgotten. It’s fun because it has a bunch of pictures of when she was a little girl.  I had forgotten that I almost froze Grandma Gale by trying to do her interview in the backyard.  There’s a little bit of everyone in here and it is fun to hear the stories as they’re told.

Leave your comments and well wishes for Mom/Grandma…

George birthday video (from Grandma Pitchforth)

Shannon make this cute video of her trip to help us when George was born. It’s just over 11 minutes, but it’s really fun. Great before and after of Rachel. There’s even a shot on George’s blessing day.

Monday night at the Watrous Speedway

I bought a few dollars worth of parts, scrounged up some scrap wood and borrowed Rachel’s hot glue gun to make some little cars with the girls. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Clara didn’t even want to try hers until she had ‘decorated’ (colored with magic markers) it.

We had some good races, crashes and even got George laughing at the whole thing. Hope you enjoy…

If you look really close in the background you can see our new chair rail that we just finished last week. We really like it. It’s so fun to make improvements to our own house (well the house we’re renting to own from the bank for the next 30 years anyway).

Rainy day movie – “The Gift”

On Saturday morning it began to rain and so I took the girls out on our covered porch to enjoy watching it.  We were all cuddled up in a blanket and I had an idea to make a video.  I had the idea a while ago and was waiting for a rainy day, so I hurried and grabbed my camera and got to work.

The sun came out in the middle of the day and it rained again in the afternoon.  It was a perfect combination for all the filming I had to do.  You can even see Rachel’s belly a few times (how cute).

The name of the movie is “The Gift”.  I used some of Tim’s music in the background, so THANKS TIM!  It sure is fun to have original music named after the places where I grew up.  The two pieces that I used are “liberty-park-in-may” and “demo-1-B”.

Enjoy your little video gift.
