Camping at Bruneau Sand Dunes
The campground was great.
We stayed up until midnight to see Saturn through a telescope at the Observatory.
We walked back in the dark along a trail where scorpions are found and saw some of those with a blacklight.
The next morning we took our sleds and sand toys to the dunes. A couple trips to the top of those dunes and we were spent.
We picnicked at the lake, stuck our toes in, and went home. Exhausted.
A day at the river with Grandpa
We’ve wanted to try out the paddleboats at Julia Davis Park. So when Grandpa came to visit, we all went.
Then we stopped at the playground.
And finally, some cairn building at the river.
George’s first preschool year
We had some great outings and lots of fun with preschool.
The zoo.
And graduation day . . .
Thanks Jacob Brasher, Landon Olson, Violet Bell, Maya Dalling, and Tegan Camerlango. It was a great year!
Labor Day hike to Table Rock
So what to do all Labor Day while Dad does homework?
Hike four and a half miles to Table Rock.
This is proof we made it to the top.
George was a C.H.A.M.P. He walked the whole way and did not whine. He’s four.
I carried Henry in my front pack. Luckily he napped on the way down.
The girls and I were mostly cheerful. But there were some moments.
Pumpkins – October 2013
I love the fall outing to the pumpkin patch. We went once with George’s preschool class.
George and Ava
And once with our family (minus Dad). That’s what we have crummy pictures this year.
The corn box is our favorite. It’s a giant sandbox made of corn. It’s great to find corn seeds in pant hems, diapers, and socks for the rest of the week. At least they are easier to clean up than sand.
