Wet Wednesdays
We organized a “Wet Wednesdays” group for some summer fun this year.
Yes, Clara is reading.
Eagle Island was the BEST! Shallow area, great beach, no goose poop (like Lucky Peak). Lots of friends came and we loved it. So we went again.
Fountains at the grove.
More Eagle Island.

The coldest winter . . .
It was a terribly cold winter and much more snowy than most. Enough snow that we could go sledding in Boise. We were the only ones out there. People in Boise don’t own sleds. There’s usually only one or two good sledding days in a whole winter, so what’s the point, I guess? Well, we Utahns have a sled and snow clothes, so we found ourselves a good dirt heap and went down!
King of the mountain!
Drama queen!
The stars aligned for us that day.
Baby sleeping.
Dad’s working from home so we can leave without Henry.
Girls got home from school.
Enough snow left for sledding.
Let’s go kids!
Skating through life
Most days I feel like a boring Mom. I don’t seem to do as many fun activities, or fancy parties, or imaginative snacks, or super play dates as other Moms. But I like to think (and hope) I’m doing the best at what’s most important.
So today – Today I’m becoming a blogger. For myself.
So that when I’m a boring, no-good, mean mommie, I can remember how hard I tried to make life wonderful!
Clara began the day with the confidence of having been ice skating many (2) times before, while Lydia was novice. She picked it up in five minutes, though, and we skated for a couple of hours until Clara and I dragged her out of the rink and took our tired selves home.
It’s been a long time since it was just me and the girls. We had a great time!
Fire Station
The fire station is always a great field trip. We had a great tour of the building and a demo of the fire pole. The kids gotta “drive” the truck. And it all ended with a real fire alarm and we watched them zoom out of the station!
Jacob, Betty, George, Violet, Tegan, Landon, Burke. (Myla was sick.)
Dan turns 30 something?
I can’t remember how old he is now. It requires a bit of math. . .
But it’s a great occasion for bowling and donuts.
The hot light’s on . . .
Henry’s first word was “ball”. He was in heaven.
