A day at Galveston Beach
We had a fun day trip to Gelveston. There was lots of seaweed and very salty water, but most of the kids had a blast. We all went home very tired.
Palm trees in Galveston
P
Yay for palm trees. These little kids are not sunburned yet, but they will be in about five hours (despite applying plenty of sun screen).

We made our first visit to whataburger today after a visit to Galveston. The kids loved it. The parents? Not so much…

Idaho City Day Camp
Before we left Idaho, we wanted to get out for another camping trip. We couldn’t fit that in, but we did do a day camp up near Idaho City. We had a fire, made smores, did a hike and then went in to Idaho city for hand made waffle cones and the delicious huckleberry ice cream. It was a really fun time.
Camping at Bruneau Sand Dunes
The campground was great.
We stayed up until midnight to see Saturn through a telescope at the Observatory.
We walked back in the dark along a trail where scorpions are found and saw some of those with a blacklight.
The next morning we took our sleds and sand toys to the dunes. A couple trips to the top of those dunes and we were spent.
We picnicked at the lake, stuck our toes in, and went home. Exhausted.
