Lydia Dance Recitals

I’ve been meaning to post some dance recital videos I have of Lydia. The first is from last summer. The other is from this winter’s nutcracker. She has really enjoyed taking dance lessons and certainly enjoys bouncing around the house in a dancing manner.

The Gift 2

The girls decided to make a movie today. They asked me to help them film and edit it, but other than that they did everything else. They even sat by me while I edited and composed the music in sonicfire pro. They told me which background to choose, what it should say, where to cut the video…everything. Clara was ecstatic and made sure we all knew she was the director.

During the entire editing process she was picking out problems and making plans for the next video.

This is what came of it:

Sisters from the Background

Clara and Lydia have discovered the built in camera on Rachel’s Mac. As a result they’ve made over 100 videos and pictures. This little video is from a few of the videos that they shot. There’s a LOT more material and so you might see more coming. Just wait until someday when Clara realizes that she can post on the blog by herself. You might not be able to keep up with all the content.

Fall pictures of the kids

Here are some pictures Rachel took of the children the other day on our front porch. One of our neighbors gave George (and the girls) a Halloween shirt for his birthday. Remember that Clara is now in school all day. They are getting so big.

Muddy afternoon in the back yard

Yesterday afternoon we went outside to play. Rachel, Clara and I played catch with the football and then the volleyball. George and Lydia turned on the hose and painted a sign on the fence. Lydia told me the sign said “We love dirt”.

I also include some pictures of Clara’s hair cut. She wanted it really short, but this is as far as Rachel would go (probably because I love the girl’s long hair).
